1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Pray for unity in the church:
Pray for God to be glorified in all things:
Pray for God’s Spirit and power to fill the church:
Eph 3:16-19 - that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Pray for the church to faithfully show love to a hurting world in His name:
1 Cor 16:14 - Let all that you do be done in love.
John 13:35 - By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Pray for God’s provision and that the church would be faithful to give generously:
Phil 4:19 - And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Acts 20:35 - In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Pray that the church would be faithful to go into all the world and share the gospel of Christ:
Mark 16:15 - And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."
Pray for the leaders of the church, that their hearts and minds are directed towards Christ:
Gal 6:9 - And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Pray for the church to have a hunger for God’s Word and to walk in His wisdom, humility and strength:
2 Tim 3:16-17 - All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Pray for God’s power and protection against the attacks of the enemy:
Eph 6:11 - Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Pray for God to wake up the church and stir us into action:
Ps 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Pray that the church will stay true to biblical gospel:
2 Tim 4:3 - For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions
